For users located in the European Union, this Privacy Policy is provided in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. General Information

The protection of your personal data is important to us.

  • This app is designed to operate with minimal data processing.
  • The app does not require user registration and does not create user accounts.
  • The developer does not collect, store, or sell personal data.

3. Camera Usage (QR Code Scanning)

The app uses the device camera solely for scanning QR codes.

  • The camera is activated only when the user initiates a scan.
  • No photos or videos are stored.
  • No camera data is transmitted to external servers.
  • All image processing takes place locally on the device.

Legal basis (EU users): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – provision of the app's functionality.

4. File and Media Access

The app may request access to device storage and media files in order to:

  • Read or write files selected by the user
  • Access media metadata (e.g., EXIF information)
  • Provide file transfer or synchronization features

The app does not automatically collect or transmit personal files to the developer.

Any file transfer occurs solely between the user's device and a server explicitly configured by the user (e.g., WebDAV, SMB, local peer-to-peer connection).

5. Network and Internet Access

The app includes network permissions to enable:

  • Connections to user-configured servers (e.g., WebDAV, SMB)
  • Local HTTP server functionality
  • Peer-to-peer communication (WiFi Direct, Bluetooth)
  • Local network discovery (mDNS / multicast)

The app does not automatically transmit data to the developer or third parties.

All network activity is initiated and controlled by the user.

6. Bluetooth, WiFi & Nearby Devices

To enable peer-to-peer communication and device discovery, the app may use:

  • Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy
  • WiFi Direct
  • Local network discovery protocols

During device discovery, technical identifiers (such as device names or hardware identifiers made available by the operating system) may be temporarily processed locally.

These identifiers are not stored by the developer and are not transmitted to external servers.

7. Location Permissions

Certain Android versions require location permissions for:

  • Bluetooth scanning
  • WiFi Direct device discovery
  • Nearby device access

The app itself does not access, track, or store GPS location data.

Location permission is required solely due to Android system restrictions.

8. Notifications

The app may display local notifications on the device.

No push notification data is transmitted to external servers.

9. No Tracking or Advertising

This app does not use:

  • Analytics services
  • Crash reporting services
  • Advertising SDKs
  • Tracking technologies
  • Cookies
  • Profiling tools

No personal data is sold or shared for marketing purposes.

10. Data Sharing

The developer does not share personal data with third parties.

If users connect the app to their own servers (e.g., WebDAV, SMB), data transmission occurs exclusively between the user's device and that server.

The developer has no access to such data.

11. Data Retention

The developer does not store personal data.

Any data stored by the app remains on the user's device or on servers explicitly configured by the user.

12. User Rights (EU Residents)

If personal data were to be processed, users located in the EU would have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Since the developer does not collect or store personal data, these rights generally do not apply in practice.

13. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in the user's jurisdiction).

The developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if legal or technical requirements change.

The latest version will always be available at the published URL.
